Pastor Youcef Facing New Charges in Iran!

DOHI NEWS

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who was once sentenced to death for leaving Islam and most recently pardoned in Iran’s annual amnesty for crimes against national security, is now facing new charges.

According to reports, Pastor Youcef was requested to appear in court Saturday, July 8, to answer to charges of “undermining state security.” These allegations have apparently been brought forth by a Christian couple, Ramin Hassanpour and his wife Saeede Sajadpour, both members of the Church of Iran denomination. It is believed that Ramin and Saeede, who barely know Pastor Youcef, were threatened – quite possibly with the loss of custody of their children – by Iranian authorities into making these accusations.

When the news of Pastor Youcef’s release first reached us in February, we were both overjoyed and cautious. At the time, we had asked for your prayers that his release would be permanent. We are again asking for your prayers!

Please pray that these allegations will be seen by the court for what they are – untruthful and inadmissible. Pray that God would strengthen Pastor Youcef, his family, and church to withstand this latest attack of the Enemy to cripple the Church in Iran. Also pray for Ramin and Saeede. The psychological and spiritual pressure that this Christian couple is facing is intense, not to mention the guilt of betraying a brother in Christ. Let us pray that God would allow them to stand strong in Him.
