2. Give a Gift of Comfort to a Persecuted Family
There are many hurting families with a loved one imprisoned for Christ. Families left without the bread-winner, leaves the mother and children in desperate situations without any means of supporting themselves. In countries like Iran, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan they face persecution from their Muslim neighbors. They feel abandoned as others are afraid to help them.
For many families suffering Christian persecution it is a daily struggle to simply put food on the table.

3. Send a Child to School
Refugee children in Kurdistan learn about Jesus!
Door of Hope International has a school in Kurdistan for Syrian refugee children whose families fled Syrian atrocities. They had no means to pay for their children to go to school and the children roamed aimlessly on the streets.
Because the school is not government funded we are not bound by the many restrictions in the predominantly Islamic country. This enables us to include Christian lessons about Jesus in the regular curriculum to these Muslim children! We have a unique opportunity to grab the heart of a small child. These children may never have heard about Jesus. When the children come home with Christian literature and share it with their parents it opens doors for the parents to join our Bible studies. Several families have now accepted Christ as their saviour!

Poor families struggle to survive harsh winters in countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine. Wool from sheep keeps everyone warm and sheep give milk too! Not all sheep are heavy milk producers but they can provide milk for a family and make some excellent cheese.
Villagers in countries where winters are less severe supplement their income by selling the offspring, making cheese or crafts from wool to sell at a market.
