Children are the saddest victims of war, disasters and collapsed economies.
The children we help live in misery and poverty in countries like Bulgaria, Romania, Albania and Ukraine. Fathers lose hope and often become alcoholics or turn to crime and are behind bars. In Ukraine, fathers are killed on the front-line of war. Mothers are left to care for the family alone.
Caught in the middle of these disasters are the children. Too young to take care of themselves, they are hungry and cold, wandering the streets begging for food.
They are the helpless ones
